The Easy-Trim cavity closer provides a simple and highly effective method for closing cavities around openings in masonry cavity, timber frame and steel frame system wall constructions.
What are Cavity Closers?
They are used to close openings in cavities around door and window openings. Manufactured in-house at our own warehouse they are made from a rigid but lightweight UPVC profile which is fitted with an insulated material. We have specifically developed the product, to meet the demands of modern day construction.
Our Easy-Trim cavity closers are easy to install with a simple cut to size indicators. Not only that but they are a fully ridged plastic cavity closer which can be used in both new build projects and refurbishment projects.
Why are insulated Cavity Closers important?
If a cavity is not correctly closed around a reveal then unfortunately water ingress can occur and this can lead to problems. Cavity closers effectively help to combat common problems such as internal condensation, mould growth and the major problem experienced by many of cold bridging – the process where internal heat escapes externally.
